Brenda's Review

I gotta hand it to Lizzy Ford, This was an amazing read!!I'm not one to get into the Si-Fi reads but this book was totally awesome! I really enjoyed following along with the characters to watch this action packed story.I said "Watch" because I could picture it all in my head!! It was like watching a movie! Loved it!!!
I loved the characters in this story, they real to life and fun.The flow of the story line was smooth sailing and sucks you in.I enjoyed watching the love evolve between Lana and Brady. I liked that he called her Angel and the he was her Guardian.Just a perfect story of love and with all that they went through, with the world falling apart around them and people out to kill them. They come through it all to find each other again.

This is an awesome read, I highly recommend it!

JUST A TASTE...

The voice was barely a whisper, close in my ear so that it sounded like a scream in my mind. I flinched instinctively, my body seized and guilty with the shock of being discovered. I felt the blood rush to my cheeks so my face burned.
I stopped breathing.
Hector had come in the night like a hunter stalking his prey, moving with the silent footfalls of a panther, and so intense had been my erotic fascination that he had arrived in silence.
He was standing close behind me, his breath a soft sensual caress on my neck and cheek. I closed my eyes and when I breathed again it was as a tremulous shudder.
I eased my hand from between my legs but he touched at my elbow and stilled me.
"No. Keep pleasuring yourself." His voice was hoarse and tense.
I felt his body flatten against my back and a strong arm wrapped around my waist. I leaned against him, keeping my eyes shut; feeling and sensing the press of his muscles, the strain of his arousal and the intoxicating smell of him. His other arm went around my chest - not tight - but his hand was firm and insistent as it clamped over the weight of my breast and he began to tease my nipple.

Author Bio:

As a writer of erotic romance, the beauty of the genre is not in creating lavish settings for my stories.
Nor is my fascination for erotic romance drawn from the opportunity to create handsome heroes and beautiful heroines.
My real love for the genre stems from the opportunity to take my readers on a journey and engage as many of their emotions as possible.
I believe writing erotic romance gives authors the most influence over how a reader feels as we engage them in our stories.
Writers of action books, or horror books certainly can create compelling situations, but with erotic romance we writers can immerse our readers in a multitude of emotions unprecedented in any other form of creative fiction.
I can frustrate readers, make them laugh, make them cry, delight them, intrigue them, inform them –erotic fiction is a total emotional experience, and it is gratifying to hear readers respond to stories with passion.
I believe readers want to be engaged and drawn into the pages of a story, and as a writer of erotic romance, we have the greatest opportunity because our stories are always relatable. They may be fictional worlds and fictional characters, but the themes of love and romance and erotica are so universal, and so personal to each of us that we all respond to stories in different ways.
But we all respond.
And that’s the true joy of writing erotic romance. It matters not so much how you respond as you read… it matters only that you do respond. If a writer can engage you and make you feel, then the story’s journey is one well worth taking.

Brenda's Review

I want to give this more than five stars! It was that good!! Totally loved the story line and how well the story flowed. The characters are so lovable and down to earth. You just can't put this down until you are finished.

Nikki takes off to Colorado to die alone. She was given only three to four months left to live. The chemo treatments and all the tests were just to much for her to handle anymore. Not to mention the doctor who was treating her was her her lover.Nikki found out he was sleeping with another woman and she just wanted to get away and die in peace. She figured it was better this way. No one to leave behind grieving for her.No more tests, no more problems. What she didn't expect, was to meet up a with a ruggedly handsome man who could make her weak in the knees and infuriate her at the same time.

Michael,he has fallen for the new girl in town but it seems trouble follows him where ever he goes. The towns people don't like him and try to drive him out of town every time he sets foot in its limits. Michael can't help but try to make friends with Nikki. After all she is his new neighbor now.
There is just something about her he can't put his finger on.It's like she's hiding something and hold back at the same time. But once they both start to fall in love things really start to get crazy. Michael gets charged with another murder that happens in town.It seems like he keeps getting framed for these murders but the charges don't stick. Something strange is going on and it's going to take over his life. Worse of all now Nikki is at risk as the next target.

Like I said, this is an amazing story and you want to put it down!

The Billionaire's Temptress by Vivien Sparx

Description:

Set in London over one long weekend, 'The Billionaire's Temptress' features a delightful heroine and her struggle to allure, arouse and attract the passions of a dark, sexy billionaire. But everything is not quite as it seems as Holly sets about seducing Nikolai.
Once Nikolai's passions are aroused, Holly soon learns that unleashing Nikolai's desires may be more than she can handle as the erotic action quickly begins to sizzle.

Review:

This book was a short story, 73 pages in print. I really wish there had been more to the story, something to give me insight on who Holly and Nickolai are.

The Billionaire's Temptress takes place over the course of a couple of days. Holly has arranged to have a weekend of passion with Nicolai. Her attempts at suduction do not go quite as planned.

I love Vivien Sparx and her wild imagination. She did a great job capturing this story.

Review:

I have to say that I loved this short story and I am so sorry that it wasn't longer. I would have liked to have seen more about Kate and Dillon. I would have liked to see them grow closer and seen the wedding. But Vivien Sparx wrote a super hot short that I couldn't put down once I started it.

As they touch to shake hands, Brianna started to have a vision of her and Kyle sitting on a couch. Not sure what house they were in, he was cuddling with her on the couch rubbing her large baby bump stomach.
Kyle just stood there staring at her and for the life of him he couldn’t figure out why. The Body in the Bed by Jerold Last

Description:

The newest entry in the South American mystery series brings Roger and Suzanne back to Montevideo to attend a festive dinner honoring their friend's promotion to police captain. There's a surprise guest waiting for them when they get to their hotel room. Roger and Suzanne are the lead suspects in a murder, their allies on the police forces of Uruguay and Paraguay may be the targets of a conspiracy, and nobody can be trusted. This fast paced, action filled, novella should satisfy readers of the previous books in the series as we renew acquaintances with old friends and enemies, and say farewell to one of them. Readers new to the series can enjoy this book as a stand-alone introduction to the region and to the series characters.

Tich's Review:

I received The Body in the Bed by the author for an honest review.  This is a short read, a print length of about 68 pages.  The reader doesn't have to read the past Mystery novels written about Roger and Suzanne to read this one.  Though I fully recommend you read those too if this one sparks your interest.

Roger and Suzanne head back to Montevideo to celebrate their friend's promotion in the police force.  When they arrive they find a body in the bed.  Seems like every time they visit this country there's a new mystery to solve.

I cannot wait to start reading the other novels by Jerold Last.  Two thumbs up for The Body in the Bed!

Brenda's Review

I think I have become the biggest fan of Andie and Ryan!! They are my favorite character couple in the book world.I just love reading about them and hearing all the juicy detail's about they're relationship.

Ryan is a charmer and he passes the friend test.He is moving in with Andie and they are starting the New Year out right. Ryans character couldn't be more perfect and he aims to please Andie in every way.

Andie has become so much more bold and sure of herself sense Ryan walked into her life. It's refreshing to see a character go from being the meek and timid to bold and outspoken. All because of a change in lovers. A lover who is not a pushy, self absorbed a$$. I was happy to see that Andie was bold enough to finally tell Evan off and get rid of him.

Can't wait to see more of this power couple! This is such a great collection of stories. You will fall in love with the characters and the story. The words flow so nicely and there are no dull spots in the stories!! Truly love this series!

The Matador Murders by Jerold Last

The Matador Murders (South American Mystery Series)
Description:

Roger and Suzanne are back in Montevideo, Uruguay after being summoned from Los Angeles by a late night phone call. One of their friends is suspected of murder and needs their skills as detectives to help clear him of the charges. Life for Roger, and especially for Suzanne, is more complicated these days as they now have an infant son, Robert. The three of them, accompanied by Robert’s nanny, Bruce, fly to Uruguay and the game is afoot. Before long we have our heroes directly in the middle of a gang war, off for a quick trip to Chile to learn all about the local crime scene, and meeting some unlikely allies in their mission. The book has lots of action, a good whodunit storyline, guest appearances from several old friends and an old enemy from The Ambivalent Corpse and The Surreal Killer, and occasional opportunities for sightseeing and eating regional specialty foods.

Tich's Review:

I enjoy reading Mystery novels, I love the excitment and solving problems. The Matador Murders is a pretty fast paced and well written Mystery.

Roger and Suzanne are called Montevideo to help solve a murder. In order to find the killer and free their friend from murder charges they must investigate the members of the two gangs that are at war. Someone is killing for leadership and they must figure out who this is.

SONGBIRD

Book Description

There are defining moments in life when everything changes. For Dani Mays, it was the day she witnessed her father kill her brother. Now seventeen, she still hasn't put it behind her.

After Jace's death, she bounced between her alcoholic mother and foster homes until she found a permanent place. And a reason to want to stay: Reece Tyler. He's her best friend, yet Dani wants more from him.

Faced with losing Reece, Dani struggles to define his place in her life and escape the influence the memories of her brother's death have over her choices. Even as she weaves the pieces of her heart back together, the past becomes more than a memory when a former foster brother reappears and Dani begins receiving threatening calls.

Brenda's Review

Absolutely one great story! I was hooked from the start of story. The characters are so lovable and real to life. The life and struggles that Dani has gone through tugs at your heart strings.

Watching the love between Dani and Reece grow and the struggles they have to go through to prove the love they have is a real to life issue. It's a tough situation to be in,being friends and yet afraid to ruin that friendship in the case of one them not feeling the same way.

Then you add in Colin...Now you have a triangle of fury!! AHHHH,I didn't like Colin at first.Thought he was a player but he turns out to be not so bad after all in the end.

I couldn't help but think all this book..."These poor kids, how did they all get these messed up parents!" and "What parent does this to their child?" Well, you have all kinds of parents out there in this crazy world. That's what makes this story so real,it happens every day in the real world. We just chose not to see it.

I highly recommend this book!! You won't be sorry!!
