The Farewell Season by Ann Herrick

The Farewell Season

By Ann Herrick

Book Description

A story of how love heals and love endures.

Eric and Glynnie go from butting heads to grudging friendship to something more ....

Eric used to think he'd live forever, but not anymore. As football season starts, he hopes he can live normally again after the death of his father. But his refusal to face his grief results in anger at his coach, fights with his sister, resenting added responsibilities, and disillusionment with football. It takes a special relationship with Glynnie, who is struggling with the divorce of her parents, to open his heart to love again.

What a great read this was! I was drawn in from the start. The story line flows nicely, not choppy.Loved the characters. This is a fantastic story that deals with love, family, duties, loss, friendships and teenage fears. The stress and fears and worries that some teens have to deal with.Learning to accept help and advice from others Eric is thrown into grown up life.

Eric is thrown into the role of responsibilities after the sudden death of his father.Life lessons run deep for Eric.He is learning to deal with the loss of his father, playing football without his father in stands for the time.Trying to accept his little sister falling for his best friend.(He didn't handle that one to well.)

Eric is forced to learn that life moves on...You can't stop it,but you can learn to deal with it.
This is a great story to share with teens, even if they aren't going through the same issues in the story. This story will help enrich them.It will help them with the ability to cope and to hold on to hope.

I highly recommend this book to everyone of all ages.
